Membership in Chi Epsilon has many benefits. The most important benefit for most students is networking. Many of the best civil engineers in the country are members of Chi Epsilon and are often looking for new employees. Employers know that Chi Epsilon is an honor society and will be pleased to see it on your résumé. Our chapter hosts an annual career fair every fall with over 40 civil engineering firms from around the DC area. The career fair is an excellent opportunity to meet with company representatives and give your résumé to top engineering firms. As a member of the host organization, you will have the chance to join employers for lunch and interact in a more relaxed atmosphere.

 

But Chi Epsilon is not just a networking opportunity or résumé booster. In the spirit of the fourth pillar of Chi Epsilon, sociability, we also hold social events throughout the semester. Many of our events include breakfasts or happy hours at Looney’s Pub paid for by us! You can check out our upcoming social and volunteer events for this semester.

Joining Chi Epsilon, you become a member for life. So even after graduation, you will always be a member of the national civil engineering honor society.
